Well the ice is off and now we wait to get our lines wet.It should be a good spring fish wise as the ice is off early and been seeing lots jumping already. Lets hope the weather holds as we are getting snow as i type this heh.
Water temp is running about 56 degrees celsius and lake hasn't turned yet with lots of bugs showing early this year with the hot weather we had.Lake was up to 61 degrees but cooled with the cooler weather in the last week.
Ok Lake level has come up with all the rainfall and water temp is running around 58 degrees which should jump up with the warm weather being forecasted now for the next week.Lake has started to turn at the south end. A caddis hatch was reported as happening on Singh Lake.
Water temp is now running about 68 degrees with a small mayfly and dragonfly hatch on the go right now.Lake is still in a turn process with gunk coming up from the bottom but water clarity is still very clear.
Sorry for the late response but the lake turns twice a year and its a temperature thing in the spring as the water warms the bottom comes to the top dirtying the surface and and reducing visibilty and it does this again in the fall as it cools without the junk coming up off the bottom of the lake.I hope that helped with your question. Water temp is around the 65 degree range with the cool weather and rain again and there was a mayfly dragonfly hatch happening but not sure what stage its at now as its been windy and rainy.
The lines must be wet by now? How has the fishing been? Planning on heading up after the long weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks
